A 16''x24'' oil painting created on location at the Grand Canyon National Park. This was my largest on location painting that I did during the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art. The distant shadow shapes slowly fit together like a puzzle over two days as I painted at the same time each day. The distance and atmosphere at the Grand Canyon is mind boggling as anyone that has visited this majestic place well knows. I hope I captured some of the vast space in this large plein air painting.
