A 10''x7'' oil painting created on location just outside Jackson, WY. I loved the fall colors especially with the Tetons as a backdrop! This painting was an exercise in not always painting the obvious. Directly to my left was the iconic view of the Grand Tetons but I decided today that I wanted to paint the subtler beauty of the changing leaves and grey tones of a field getting ready for thesnow.
