Backtrack is a painting that started on location in Ajo, Arizona and then was completed in the studio using photo reference. I loved the timelessness of this scene and felt very connected to it in an odd sort of way. Originally I am from California and, while I left when I was very young, this scene somehow reminded me of when I was kid. It is 11'' tall by 14'' wide unframed.
