A 9''x14'' oil painting created on location near Fruita, Colorado. On a hike heading toward Devil's Canyon, this wash was located just off to the left of the trail. I walked around a bend in the trail and was struck by the colorful Rabbit Brush as well as the warm light bouncing from the ground up into the underside of the rock wall. It was an amazing scene... and an amazingly complicated scene... but it needed to be painted.
